To support scholarly research, the Centre de recherche du château de Versailles (CRCV) brings together on its “Corpus” website historical sources, whether manuscript or printed, that relate to places, actors, and expressions of power at Versailles and across Europe, from the early seventeenth century to the nineteenth century.
It provides the public with clickable tables of contents for secondary sources, detailed inventories, and document transcriptions based on originals digitized and made available online by institutional portals (BnF, Google Books, Internet Archive, etc.).
The site also offers virtual groupings of dispersed collections and curated corpora, focusing on the themes of the CRCV’s research programs or drawn from doctoral theses generously made available by their authors.
