“Lieux et expressions du pouvoir” Collection (CRCV/Fayard)

From 2015 to 2023, the Centre de recherche du château de Versailles co-published with Fayard the “Lieux et expressions du pouvoir” Collection, edited by Mathieu da Vinha, the Research Center’s scientific director.

This collection featured original works intended for a broad audience. These monographs shed new light on European royal residences as sites of representation and power from the 16^th century to the present day, for example through thematic studies, analyses of a reign, a political system, or an iconic historical figure.
