The Centre de recherche du château de Versailles (CRCV) is tasked with providing researchers with financial, scientific, and technical solutions to support and publish their work, with the aim of encouraging and facilitating the publication of research findings.
The research center offers several options:
Projects must fall within the scope of the research center’s missions and fields of study, that is, they must focus on the sites and expressions of power as represented in Versailles and throughout Europe, primarily during the 17th and 18th centuries.
Courtly civilization can be examined in all its aspects, from the ways in which power was exercised to the structure and functioning of court institutions, including customs and mentalities, the movement of people and ideas, the development of the arts and sciences, the design of palaces and gardens, and the significance of ceremonies, festivals, and performances.
