Every year, the “Versailles” research group puts forward ten wide-ranging subjects, suggested by the museum’s curators, taking a deliberately broad time frame from the 17th to the 20th century.
The subject of the dissertations of the students of the École du Louvre can be a review of spaces or locations, the constitution and analysis of a body of works in the collections of the Palace of Versailles or other institutions, a study of the artists of Versailles, etc.
The research group is co-directed by Raphaël Masson, chief heritage curator at the Palace of Versailles, and Benjamin Ringot, assistant to the scientific director of the Centre de recherche du château de Versailles.
Awaiting subject selection for the 2023-2024 academic year.
