The constitutional agreement establishing the Groupement d’Intérêt Public (G.I.P.) Centre de recherche du château de Versailles, by an order approved on 27 October 2006, defines two types of member: founder members and associate members. All members pay an annual subscription plus financial contributions, or payment in kind (use of premises, equipment or personnel), in services or in expertise (scientific or technical support).
The founder members are French legal persons under French public law who are signatories of the constitutional agreement of the G.I.P; these members agree to support the Centre for the duration of the G.I.P. by contributing towards the expenses of the Group.
At the time of its creation le Groupement d’Intérêt Public Centre de recherche du château de Versailles (GIP-CRCV) was composed of the following founding members:
The Group can accept new members, legal persons, under public or civil law, whether French or foreign, who take part in the running of the Centre by contributing towards the expenses of the Group.
Since its creation, it has thus welcomed associate members:
