The “Aulica” Collection brings together works arising from studies carried out by the Centre de recherche du château de Versailles as part of its research programmes and partnerships. The collection also includes external works by young or established researchers on all aspects of the court at Versailles and European courts, from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment, using a critical, multi-disciplinary and comparative approach towards their history – institutions, economy, society, rituals, political issues, civilisation, art and culture.
All the titles within the “Aulica” Collection have been subject to a peer review process. This applies to collective works, research monographs, theses, translations, etc.
The first three titles of the collection of the Centre de recherche du château de Versailles are co-published with the Éditions de la Maison des sciences de l’homme (see the collection on the MSH website) ; from the fourth title, the books are co-published with the Presses universitaires de Rennes (PUR) (see the collection on the PUR website).
The serie “Aulica. L’Univers de la Cour”, co-published with the PUR, is co-directed by Boris Bove, Philippe Le Doze, Mathieu da Vinha and Cédric Michon.
